Introduction

Shigella Dysenteriae bacteria cause an infection called shigellosis. Most people with Shigella Dysenteriae infection have diarrhea (sometimes bloody), fever, and stomach cramps. Symptoms usually begin 1-2 days after infection and last 7 days.

The BioPerfectus Shigella Dysenteriae Real Time PCR Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test, based on real-time PCR technology, for the detection of DNA from the Shigella Dysenteriae. Specimens can be obtained from human stool.
