Maelstrom Switch 8 is an extraction instrument from Taiwanese TANBead designed for great flexibility. It comes with interchangeable heads for up to 8 or 16 simultaneous samples with involumes between 50-1000ul or 1-4 samples with involumes up to 3000ul. With its unique Spin-tip technology, it extracts samples quickly and efficiently. The Maelstrom Switch 8 is a completely open system that you either easily programme yourself to suit your own extraction chemistry, or use in conjunction with one of the many ready-made kits available from TANBead. The Maelstrom Switch 8 is equipped with interchangeable heating plates for either 96-hole Deepwell plates or 24-hole Deepwell plates for the really large sample volumes. UV light for decontamination of course. The instrument is controlled by an easy-to-use touchscreen. The Maelstrom Switch 8 is a small, flexible combination of the Malestrom 4810 and 2410 ideal for smaller sample series where sample volume variation is high.
