Introduction

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), also called sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or venereal diseases, are contagious infections caused by pathogens (bacteria, virus, parasite) and are characterized by transmission from person to person through sexual activity and intimate contact.

Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (N. gonorrhoeae) is the main bacterial pathogen lead to gonorrhoea. Chlamydia trachomatis (C. trachomatis) is a bacterium that causes chlamydia. Ureaplasma urealyticum (U. urealyticum) is a genital mycoplasma that produces the infection within the genital tract. They are common pathogens of STDs.
